I recently traveled with Greyhound for a mid-distance trip, mainly because it was the most budget-friendly option available. Overall, the experience was decent, especially considering the price.
Booking the ticket online was simple and quick. I received my digital ticket immediately, which made boarding easier. At the station, the process was fairly organized, though it was a bit crowded. It’s a good idea to arrive at least 20–30 minutes early to avoid last-minute stress.
The bus itself was clean but basic. Seats were moderately comfortable with decent legroom, though not as spacious as a train. For shorter trips, it’s perfectly fine, but on longer journeys, you may start to feel a bit stiff. The seats reclined slightly, which helped.
WiFi was available, but the connection was inconsistent. It worked for messaging and light browsing, but streaming wasn’t reliable. There were power outlets at some seats, though not every passenger had access, so charging in advance is recommended.
The driver was professional and made clear announcements about stops and break times. We had one scheduled rest stop, which gave passengers time to stretch and grab snacks.
The bus arrived about 15 minutes late, but overall the trip was smooth. For travelers looking to save money and don’t mind a no-frills experience, Greyhound is a practical and accessible option.
