I chose Amtrak primarily because it was cheaper than flying. For the price, it delivered decent value.

Coach seating was comfortable enough, though not luxurious. Legroom was generous compared to buses or airplanes. I appreciated the large windows and ability to recline slightly.

The train was about 30 minutes delayed departing, which was frustrating. However, once moving, the ride was smooth.

WiFi was unreliable, so don’t depend on it for important tasks. Cell service worked better in most areas.

The café car had sandwiches, chips, and beverages. Prices were high for what you get, so bringing your own food is wise.

Overall, it’s not a luxury experience, but it’s affordable and reasonably comfortable. For budget-conscious travelers, Amtrak does the job.
